Gotcha Day #4

I can't believe 4 years has passed since Maeve was placed in our arms.  It hasn't always been a smooth ride, but it has been so worth it.  Maeve has changed our family for the better and we are forever grateful to have her in our lives!  Happy Gotcha Day Maeve!!

Back to Reality

7 a.m. came very early on Thursday for the kids as they headed back to school.  It is a short week which makes it nice for them.  Cian's class helped with the mass in the morning and he did the chimes as mass began.  He really enjoyed it and was super excited about it.  They were supposed to do this the last day of school before Christmas break, but the snow fall delayed them!

Aidan's ablation has been postponed for the time being.  The electrophysiologist didn't like the wording on the letter from the dentist.   Not sure what the issues are because the dentist said everything was fine.  For whatever reason, I actually have some peace about the issue.  I know that everything will be fine in the end, but I was having some anxiety about him having it.  I guess everything happens for a reason, so we will just wait and see what is supposed to happen next.  He is doing very well on his medications and no more events of SVT so that is good!

We rang in the new year a little differently this year.  We stayed home and had a couple families over to celebrate with us.  It was very nice and the kids had a great time.  It was cold and snowy so I am glad we decided not to be on the road!

Merry Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas!  We had a wonderful holiday.  The kids seem thoroughly pleased with all their gifts and we are, as usual, it is over.  I love this holiday and try very hard to keep with the meaning, but it is tough.  My favorite part is Christmas Eve mass.  I love our parish and they do a great job with Christmas Eve mass.   After mass we headed to my aunt's house to celebrate with my dad's side of the family--it was a great night.  Christmas morning brought gifts at our house and then off to Mimi and Papa's house.  After a great brunch and gifts with cousins we headed to my uncle's house for dinner.  It seemed like a longer day/night this year than normal, but it was still great.  We have been enjoying the time off from school and mornings spent sleeping in with no obligations.  It is short lived, but nice once in a while.

Halloween

I know Halloween is long past, but I wanted to post the few pictures I did get around that time.  Aidan was a football player, Cian an elf, Fintan was the Hulk and Maeve was Bat-Girl.  It was great weather here so it made for a great night of fun!
