Gotcha Day Pictures

.
This is the outside of the Civil Affairs office here in Nanning where we picked up the babies.

This was our first glimpse of Maeve. Susie knew her the minute they walked in the room. This man is the director of the SWI (orphanage) in Yulin, Maeve's home province. He was very nice and loving towards her. He actually came back over to us and got a little choaked up while saying goodbye to her.

Susie took Maeve first. She was just terrified and grimping the director. He was talking very calmly to her, but poor thing just couldn't understand what was happening.

.
.
This is Maeve's nanny at her SWI. Though she told us Maeve was in a foster home most of her life, so we are not sure how much this lady really knew her. She answered lots of questions for us though.

.
.
.
.She finally calms down with mommy. She kept that stoic face for quiet some time though.

Isn't she beautiful!!

Bath time is over, thank God for that! She is not a fan and it probably stressed us out more than her!

All clean, still stoic!

Finally, lots of smiles at dinner!!

She loves her congee!!
