171H

Today we received our immigration approval to adopt an overseas orphan!! This is the form we filed with the local immigration office on April 3 and were told it could take 90 days to receive the approval. (The application is called the I-600A and the approval form is called the 171H) Anyway it arrived today at just over 4 weeks. Susie had to call our agency and read it to them over the phone to make sure it really was the 171H because the wording is so odd. This is our final piece of the puzzle needed to turn in all our paperwork to China. Now we just need to get it notarized, certified and authenticated and we will be done with the paperchase!! Unfortunately then our looooooong wait for a referral begins, but at least at that point it is out of our hands.

We have a busy weekend coming up. Dave and Jane (Susie's parents) are in town for our nephew's birthday party. Plus we have a local art fair going on in our neighborhood and our friends are having an annual party that coincides with the art fair. Should be a great weekend! I will take some pictures this weekend and post them Sunday.
